The Shure PGX14/85 wireless lavalier system offers superior wireless technology and automatic set-up features. The system comprises of a PGX1 bodypack transmitter with a WL185 lapel mic with cardioid polar patternand a PGX4 Diversity receiver.

 

Fast and easy setup, even for a beginner

Simply press the channel button on the front of the receiver and it will perform a quick scan of the area and select a clear frequency to avoid any unwanted interference. Once this is done, sync up the receiver with your transmitter by pressing the sync button on the receiver and pointing the infrared port on the transmitter at the receiver.

How many musicians can use this system simultaneously?

A maximum of 8 musicians can use PGX Wireless systems in parallel. One wireless system consists of one bodypack transmitter and one receiver.

The MX185 premium cardioid lavalier microphone brings a new level of sophistication to personal voice reproduction. Like all Microflex family microphones, this lavalier uses an interchangeable condenser cartridge, meaning there will always be a lavalier to suit your application.

What is the MX185 best suited to?

The MX185 cardioid miniature lavalier condenser microphone is designed for use in speech applications such as broadcast presenting, speeches, lectures and for use in houses of worship.

What is an interchangeable cartridge?

All the microflex series of microphones use interchangeable cartridges (sold seperately) which means you can swap between cardioid, supercardioid and omnidirectional condenser cartridges simply by screwing them on to the top of the lavalier mic.

Want to go wireless?

The MX185 is designed for wired use and includes an in-line preamplifier and a 1.2m cable with TA4F connector. If you wish to go wireless, choose the WL185 which is the same microphone but without the pre-amplifier and connects directly into any shure wireless bodypack.

PGX1 Bodypack Transmitter UHF

Designed to meet the needs of traveling performers, the Shure PGX1 can be used with headworn, lavalier, or instrument microphones, or with guitars or basses.

The PGX1 wireless bodypack transmitter includes automatic setup features, a single power/mute switch and an LED indicator showing power, mute and battery status. 2 x AA batteries (included) gives you 8 hours of continuous use and it has an operating range of 92m.

This transmitter requires the PGX4 receiver to complete the system.

The Shure PGX4 receiver makes wireless setup simple. With features like Automatic Frequency Selection and Automatic Transmitter Setup, the PGX4 offers the best in wireless to performers on the go. It also includes Shure's patented Audio Reference Companding for crystal-clear sound beyond the limits of conventional wireless technology.

The PGX4 receiver is used as part of the PGX wireless series which includes various handheld, headset and lapel mic options.
